Die Gruppe z\u00e4hlte zu den Pionieren der sogenannten Berliner Schule, die die elektronische Musik ma\u00dfgeblich pr\u00e4gte. Er produzierte in seinem Paragon Studio eine Reihe wegweisender Alben (unter anderem von Conrad Schnitzler, Cluster und Hans-Joachim Roedelius) und feierte auch als Solok\u00fcnstler Erfolge. Der Einfluss von Tangerine Dream ist auf \u201eRomance 76\u201c (Reissue: 20.02.2026\/Bureau B) deutlich h\u00f6rbar, obwohl die Arrangements vergleichsweise minimalistisch sind \u2013 ein Umstand, f\u00fcr den David Bowie mitverantwortlich gemacht werden kann.<\/p>\n<p>Einige St\u00fccke des Albums, wie \u201eRomance\u201c und \u201ePhase By Phase\u201c, sind relativ minimalistisch angelegt. Diese Leichtigkeit gibt den ungew\u00f6hnlichen Synthesizerkl\u00e4ngen Raum, sich in ihrer ganzen Pracht zu entfalten. Ein Zustand, f\u00fcr den David Bowie, wie Baumann sich erinnert, mitverantwortlich ist: \u201cWe were in Berlin and met\u00a0<br \/>\nhim for dinner, then he would call in while I was recording the album, listening carefully to what I was\u00a0<br \/>\nworking on.
