Mick Harvey und Amanda Acevedo kehren mit ihrem aktuellen Album \u201eGolden Mirrors\u201c im April\/Mai 2026 f\u00fcr eine Reihe von Konzerten nach Europa zur\u00fcck. Am 23.04.2026 werden sie im Theater Akzent Live zu sehen sein. Neben Songs dieses Albums pr\u00e4sentieren sie auch Ausz\u00fcge aus ihrem Duett-Album \u201ePhantasmagoria in Blue\u201c (2023) sowie aus Harveys Soloalbum \u201eFive Ways to Say Goodbye\u201c (2024). Begleitet werden sie vom Gitarristen Georgio Valentino und Yoyo R\u00f6hm an Bass und Keyboard.<\/p>\n

Mick Harvey Short Bio:<\/p>\n

Mick Harvey, Musiker, Musikproduzent und Komponist, der seit \u00fcber 45 Jahren aktiv ist, und vor allem als Mitglied von The Birthday Party und The Bad Seeds sowie f\u00fcr seine langj\u00e4hrige Zusammenarbeit mit PJ Harvey und Nick Cave bekannt ist. Neben der Musik f\u00fcr zehn Spielfilme und zahlreiche Kurzfilme und Dokumentationen hat Harvey in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten zehn Soloalben ver\u00f6ffentlicht und mehrere australische Musikpreise erhalten. Er gewann 2006 den AFI-Preis f\u00fcr die beste Originalmusik f\u00fcr \u201eSuburban Mayhem\u201c und wurde 2011 als britischer Produzent des Jahres f\u00fcr seine (Ko-)Produktion von PJ Harveys \u201eLet England Shake\u201c ausgezeichnet.<\/p>\n

Amanda Acevedo Short Bio:<\/p>\n

Die mexikanische K\u00fcnstlerin Amanda Acevedo arbeitet intensiv an ihrer Zusammenarbeit mit Mick Harvey. Nachdem sie 2020\/21 in ihrer Heimatstadt San Luis Potis\u00ed Film studiert hatte, tat sie sich mit einem ihrer Idole zusammen, um die thematisch vielschichtige Duett-Sammlung \u201ePhantasmagoria in Blue\u201c aufzunehmen. \u00a0Diese Arbeit wurde 2025 mit der neuem Album \u201eGolden Mirrors\u201c (Mute) fortgesetzt. Derzeit studiert und arbeitet sie in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

\u201eGolden Mirrors\u201c: The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1 ist das neue Album von Mick Harvey & Amanda Acevedo. Es ist als erstes Projekt einer Reihe geplant, die sich mit Songwritern besch\u00e4ftigen, f\u00fcr die Harvey und Acevedo eine besondere Vorliebe haben. In diesem Fall handelt es sich um Jackson C. Frank, einen einst fast vergessenen amerikanischen Folks\u00e4nger, aus den 1960er Jahren der in letzter Zeit wiederentdeckt und von Harvey und Acevedo neu interpretiert wurde. Das Duo wird weiterhin an den \u201eUncovered Sessions\u201c arbeiten und gleichzeitig ein Album mit Originalmaterial produzieren, das 2026 erscheinen soll. \u201eGolden Mirrors\u201c folgt auf das 2023 erschienene Album des Duos, \u201ePhantasmagoria in Blue\u201c, und Harveys Soloalbum \u201eFive Ways to Say Goodbye\u201c aus dem Jahr 2024.<\/p>\n

Harvey explains, \u201cWe recorded Milk & Honey for our first album \u2018Phantasmagoria in Blue\u2019 and it was the first song released from that project. By complete coincidence, in the week of that release, I was contacted by my friend, Guanluca, from Italy who was putting together a tribute to Jackson C. Frank for his \u2018Love & Thunder\u2019 collective project. We were more than happy to record a few more songs, Amanda in particular being a big fan of Frank\u2019s work. Amanda and Iinitially recorded 3 songs for the tribute project but we just kept going and eventually we had 9 or 10 and realised we could make our own album. We\u2019ve ended up with 15 or 16. The whole process was so enjoyable and the ideas just flowed. All the original recordings are just one or two guitars with singing and Frank\u2019s later songs are only available as home recordings, non-studio demos or live. So the possibilities of expanding the songs through arrangements were huge and that process was very rewarding and enjoyable.\u201d<\/p>\n
