Am 12.04.24<\/strong> werden METZ „Up On Gravity Hill“<\/strong> ihr erstes Album seit vier Jahren, auf Sub Pop Records<\/strong> ver\u00f6ffentlichen (au\u00dfer in Kanada – Label: Dine Alone). Das Album wurde von Seth Manchester (Mdou Moctar, Lingua Ignota, Battles, The Body) produziert und enth\u00e4lt Gastauftritte von Amber Webber<\/strong> von Black Mountain und dem Komponisten\/Streicherarrangeur Owen Pallett.<\/strong><\/p>\n

METZ, eine Band, die einst daf\u00fcr bekannt war, mit Liedern voller freudiger Wut das Trommelfell zum Platzen zu bringen, hat im Laufe ihrer letzten Platten damit begonnen, Wege zu erkunden, um H\u00e4rte in Atmosph\u00e4re umzuwandeln. Die Entwicklung ihres Sounds spiegelt nicht nur die Reifung der Band selbst wieder, sondern auch auch einer ver\u00e4nderten Welt, die Nuancen und Mitgef\u00fchl erfordert, um sie zu verstehen und zu \u00fcberleben. Um diese Entwicklung hervorzuheben, hat die Band zwei neue kontrastreiche Singles ver\u00f6ffentlicht: das stampfende, motorische \u201e99″ und das kraftvolle und tief melodische \u201eEntwined (Street Light Buzz)“, das einen vertr\u00e4umteren Swervedriver-artigen Gitarrenglanz bietet, der f\u00fcr das kanadische Trio auch etwas neues ist.<\/p>\n
