MASTER PEACE \u00fcber sein Album:
\n\u201eMy debut album, \u201eHow To Make A Master Peace“, is definitely the most alternative body of work I’ve created to date. I wanted to create a record people wouldn’t expect from me. From a musical standpoint, I drew influences from Indie Sleaze & Indie Dance acts such as FRIENDLY FIRES, JUSTCE, LCD SOUNDSYSTEM and early CALVIN HARRIS. But beyond this, I also found inspiration in the soundtracks to some of my favourite shows: Skins, Misfits & even Waterloo Road. All of these shows touch on adolescence, love, regret, friendship, culture and character building; which also happen to be the main themes of the album.<\/p>\n

Even though I’ve nodded to these topics before, I’ve never approached them in such depth and with so much vulnerability. For this project, I wanted to create a soundscape to soundtrack nightlife and partying – for me, these can be youthful yet transformational spaces. In terms of my creative process, I didn’t use any old demos on the project \u2013 I started each track from scratch.“<\/p>\n

Aufgewachsen in Surrey, geriet MASTER PEACE, der eigentlich Peace Okezie hei\u00dft, tief in die Welt der Indie-Musik, wo BLOC PARTY, THE 1975 und ARCTIC MONKEYS schnell zu seinen Helden wurden. Er verbrachte seine Teenagerjahre auf Hauspartys und Raves und bildete einen engen Kreis von Freunden von Raver-Kollegen, deren Freundschaft seine Musik bis heute inspiriert und beeinflusst. An PEACE ist die St\u00e4rke und Tiefe dieser platonischen Liebe zwischen Freunden der Grundpfeiler einer positiven modernen M\u00e4nnlichkeit im Jahr 2023.<\/p>\n

Bis heute hat er drei EPs ver\u00f6ffentlicht, die von NME, Clash, The Face und Wonderland gelobt und von mehreren DJs bei BBC1 gespielt.<\/p>\n"},"caption":{"rendered":"
