Sub Pop<\/a><\/strong> hat Aeon Station<\/a><\/strong> das neue Projekt von Kevin Whelan von „The Wrens<\/a><\/strong>“ unter Vertrag genommen, um am 10.12.21 „Observatory“ das Deb\u00fctalbum der Gruppe, weltweit zu ver\u00f6ffentlichen. Das 10-Track-Album wurde f\u00fcr Whelan im Laufe von 14 Jahren sorgf\u00e4ltig zusammengestellt. Diese wurden schlie\u00dflich von Whelan selbst zusammengestellt und aufgenommen. Mit Unterst\u00fctzung von Wrens\u2018 Bandkollegen Jerry MacDonald und Greg Whelan sowie Tom Beaujour. Dar\u00fcber hinaus sorgte seine Frau Mary Ann f\u00fcr den Backup-Gesang.<\/p>\n

Auf der Deb\u00fctsingle \u201eQueens\u201c, h\u00f6rt man den h\u00e4mmernden Aufbau zu einem wahrhaft aufregenden H\u00f6hepunkt aus riesigen Gitarren und hektischem Drumming. Whelan sagt: \u201cThis song was inspired by one of my all-time favorite songs, \u201cThe Winner Takes it All\u201d by ABBA. It\u2019s about betting on the real you. Like a game of high-stakes poker, you push all your chips to the center of the table and aren\u2019t afraid to go \u201call in.\u201d It starts with a solo vocal, framing the story to come, the drums then propel the song forward, with a force working its way to a climax of a repeating line – \u00a0\u201cYou said it was all in.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
